How to: Link to a PowerPoint slide from Word.
Solution:
Copy the PowerPoint slide. Switch to Word and select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste Special...'. Select the 'Paste Link' radio button.
Paste Link
1) Open the PowerPoint presentation.
2) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Slide Sorter'.
3) Select (single click) the desired slide.
4) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Copy'.
5) Switch to Word.
6) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste Special...'.
7) Select the 'Paste Link' radio button.
Paste Link
8) Highlight 'Microsoft PowerPoint Slide Object' in the 'As:' box.
9) Click 'OK'
NOTE: Select the 'Display as Icon' box for the link to display as an icon.
